Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Sai Krishna Colony, Old Bowenpally, Secunderabad was consecrated on the 31st of October 1996. Over the years the temple has developed in leaps and bounds and after few years we have started a lot of charitable activities as envisaged by the Almighty Shirdi Sai Baba himself.
Sri Sai Siva Shakthi Charitable Trust is a humanitarian organisation, situated at Old Bowenpally, Secunderabad along with a Shirdi Sai Baba Temple under the aegis of Sri Sai Siva Shakthi Samajam (Regd. 2751/96) The Trust and Samajam strive to serve humanity in the various fields such as Spiritual, Medical, Educational, Social, Moral and Cultural.
Below are a few of our charitable activities over the past few years are detailed hereunder. The Trust was Registered in 2007 with Regd. No. 6431/167
Brief Charitable Activities of our Trust:
Annadanam for about 800 devotees every Thursday
Free Homeopathic Consultation (every Thursday) and Treatment with medicines
Free consultations in the fields of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Nephrology, Paediatrics and General medicine.
Diagnostics (approx. 5000 patients per month) at nominal charges at Sai Ashwini Poly Clinic and Diagnostic Centre.
Concessional Ultra Sound Scan with a tie up of Vijaya diagnostic centre, Lucid medical & Diagnostic Centre and Tenet Diagnostic centre. Concessional ECG’s at Sai Ashwini Poly Clinic and Diagnostic Centre.
Distribution of Sai Prasadam every Thursday and Saturday at the Temple premises.
Distribution of Vegetables every Monday and Thursday for Sri Vidya School for Special Children (Mentally challenged)Annadanam on Brahmostavam days of 16th March and 31st October every year to the following institutions.
Sri Vidya School for Special Children, Marredpally.
Sri Sivananda Asram, Kukatpally- for about 500 patients suffereing from leprosy.
Home for the Aged, Musheerabad managed by The Little Sisters of the Poor- for about 200 inmates.
Saint Theresa's Home for the Disabled and Dying Destitutes, Bhoiguda - for about 160 inmates.
Home for the Aged, Destitutes and Disabled, Bansilalpet- for about 355 inmates.
We strongly intend to increase the Annadanam for more such institutes in the future. Lastly for all the Devotees in the Temple approximately 4000 in number.
Summer Camps are conducted for Children in the age groups of 7 to 13 years to impart Spiritual, Moral and Ethical Values in the 1st week of May every year. The trust attempts at enriching Students with Vital truths of modern life and at the same time making them lovers of Indian Ideals and Indian Culture.
Education for approximately 150 School/College Children - Orphans, Poor and Needy irrespective of caste, creed or religion in around the small schools of Hasmathpet and Old Bowenpally.
Maintenance of a special Hundi for the the welfare of the beggars.
Free Yoga classes from 2006 in the mornings from 5.25 a.m. to 6.30 a.m. and in the evening from 2010 from 5.55p.m. to 7.00p.m. only for ladies under the guidance of Bharatiya Yog Sansthan (Regd. New Delhi)
Few Milestones:
Providing utencils, bedsheets, clothes and other essentials for 400 families to resurrect their homes during the Tsunami in December, 2005.
Providing utencils, blankets, rice and other eatables for . 400 families affected due to floods at Kurnool and Mahabubnagar on the banks of river Krishna in 2009
Conducting of Eye Camps with provision of Spectacles for 800 patients and free Cataract Surgeries for 60 patients with help of Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital, Mehidipatnam and Lions Club, Secunderabad.
Free Diabetic Awareness Camps under the supervision of Vijaya Diagnostic Centre, Himayathnagar and our own Sai Ashwini Poly Clinic and Diagnostic Centre.
Free Cervical and Breast Cancer Awareness Camp with Calposcopy and Pap Smear under the supervision of Gynaecologists Dr. Jayasree Desai, Dr. Suchitra K Mittal, Dr. Pranthi Reddy and Dr. K. Vasantha Kumari along with Technicians of Vijaya Diagnostic Centre, Himayathnagar, Hyderabad.
Free Cardiac Camp under aegis of Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad.
Free Thyroid Awareness Camp under the supervision of Medwin Hospitals, Hyderabad.
